Offensive Strength: The Mustangs will have several players back that started games last season. All-State Honorable Mention Taylon Peters, Houston Griffitts, and Riley Counts should provide the offense with good ball carriers and also should provide good blocking for the offense. Brogen Richardson started all 9 games last season at the quarterback position and should provide the offense with versatility. Cade Goertzen, Kedric Liggins, Gavin Prester, and Riley Counts should provide the offense with a solid receiving corps. Logan Horst will return at tight end and will provide a great threat in the passing game as well as provide the run blocks necessary to move the ball on the ground. Luis Sotelo, James Morrow, and Jeffery Hemstock all return from the offensive line a year ago. There are several others that will be competing for spots and the Mustangs should have fairly good depth with all others competing for spots.

Offensive Weakness: The Mustangs will have to utilize their strength and quickness to be successful as they will not have much size offensively.

Defensive Strengths: The Mustang defense returns 8 players from the defense of last season. The Mustang defense will return three of the four linebackers: (Dawson Maring-Sr., Michael Russell-Jr., and Drew Burgoon-Jr.). Up front on the defensive line the Mustangs return junior Cole Butts and junior Josh Morrow. In the secondary the Mustangs gained experience with junior Ben Driver and junior Jere Thomas.

Weakness: The Mustangs will have to utilize their strength and quickness to be successful as they will not have much size defensively.
